# Sinthex Flow

> Sinthex Flow is a menu-bar dictation app for macOS on Apple Silicon. Speech recognition runs locally with Whisper (MLX). Optional text correction uses your own API key. Open source under the MIT license, by Sinthex (Germany).

Sinthex Flow turns speech into text in any app where you can type. Hold the Fn key, speak, release — the text is inserted at the cursor. A double-tap on Fn starts hands-free recording; Esc cancels.

- Styles: Automatic, Literal, Email, Chat, Notes, Coding — can follow the frontmost app
- Languages (UI): official languages of Europe (including regional ones such as Catalan, Basque, Gaelic, Romansh); fallback English except German stays German
- Privacy: no trackers on this product page; history and settings stay under `~/Library/Application Support/Sinthex Flow/`
